Intangible Whispers of the Mind is a 2-part project: a publication and a mobile app. The project features excerpts, essays, and fictional texts that explore the nature of memory. The project is content-driven, allowing the text to speak for itself, focusing on the feeling of amnesia and memory. This approach places more emphasis on experimenting with the structure of the text than on typographic research, making each chapter its own unique experience with a different system.
Technical terms such as leading, hierarchy, negative space, scale, and pacing were considered throughout the layout process. Key concepts like time, echoes, whispers, imprints, fading, and nostalgia we also considered as well. Reflecting the project's thesis, the content is organized in a non-linear fashion, inviting the audience to experience memory's fragmented nature.
To further visualize and bring a tactile experience, the publication incorporates different paper color and texture.
The mobile app follows the same non-linear system and different experiences per chapter like the publication.
